Co-founders Ronald Winters and Clare Moylan have established a Nashville headquarters for GIBBINS ADVISORS, a professional services firm uniquely equipped to lead the restructuring and turnaround of distressed healthcare and related organizations in the middle market.
“We see a lot of providers and related healthcare businesses facing financial headwinds and benefiting from turnaround and restructuring services,” said Moylan. She adds that “it is generally known that rural and community hospitals have struggled for some time, but others such as post-acute, senior living, behavioral health and substance abuse treatment businesses are challenged as well”.
“Many related businesses such as staffing agencies, technology support, lab services and real estate lessors are also under pressure” said Winters, “…with our Nashville headquarters and other professionals based in the field, we are well-positioned to provide the support needed to secure a positive future for these organizations and their stakeholders”.
“There is an urgent need to bring strong technical expertise to complex middle market cases, providing quality service and a high value proposition,” added Winters.
Winters and Moylan have built a growing team of deeply experienced healthcare operations executives, finance professionals and restructuring experts. Several of the team members have collaborated for many years prior to re-uniting at Gibbins Advisors.

ABOUT THE FOUNDERS

Ronald Winters is the co-founder and Principal of GIBBINS ADVISORS. He brings more than 25 years of restructuring experience including over 15 years specializing in healthcare, higher education and not-for-profit sectors. With a particular talent for managing complex problems and navigating the competing interests of multiple stakeholders, he is one of the most experienced ‘middle market’ healthcare bankruptcy and restructuring professionals in the country.
Prior to forming GIBBINS ADVISORS, Winters was a Managing Director at each of Healthcare Management Partners and Alvarez & Marsal where he worked a combined 18 years. Prior to that, he spent the first half of his professional career managing portfolio assets and credit policy at what is now Mizuho Financial Group, one of the world’s largest financial organizations.
Winters earned a B.S. in Business and Economics at Lehigh University and an MBA at the Pace University LubinSchool of Business.

Clare Moylan is also co-founder and Principal of GIBBINS ADVISORS. She is a seasoned healthcare and restructuring professional with a broad base of experience including operations and turnaround management, bankruptcy, strategic planning, business analysis, performance improvement and litigation support. She has worked in healthcare in the United States, United Kingdom and Australia. Moylan’s experience covers the healthcare continuum: from primary care to acute, post-acute care and senior living.
Prior to forming GIBBINS ADVISORS, Moylan worked on assignment in Australia on the turnaround of a $2 billion revenue government-owned hospital system in Adelaide. Prior to that she was the Managing Partner of Healthcare Management Partners where she established the Nashville headquarters and doubled the size of the firm.
Moylan is a CFA Charterholder (Chartered Financial Analyst). She has a Bachelor of Business Administration/Bachelor of Laws (First Class Honors) from Macquarie University (Australia) and a Master Certificate in Healthcare Leadership from Cornell University.
