Larger Medical Bankruptcies Less Frequent in 2024: Report
In an article by Randy Dotinga of Medscape Medical News, the publication highlighted Gibbins Advisors’ latest report on medical bankruptcies. The report found that Chapter 11 filings among larger U.S. medical companies fell to 57 in 2024, down from 79 in 2023, though still higher than in prior years.
The piece also quoted Clare Moylan, principal with Gibbins Advisors, who noted that the health care sector is unlikely to see relief in 2025 as providers continue to face margin pressures, workforce shortages, and shifting models of care.
