Senior Living and Care Accounts for a Fourth of Healthcare Bankruptcies in Third Quarter

Gibbins Advisors co-founder Clare Moylan spoke to Kathleen Steele Gaivin of McKnights Senior Living to discuss the latest Gibbins Advisors Q3 report on Healthcare Chapter 11 Bankruptcies and issues confronting senior care organizations.

The report looked at Senior Living and Care Providers: living communities, assisted living communities, continuing care retirement / life plan communities and skilled nursing facilities and how they nestled amongst other types of healthcare related entities such as: pharmaceuticals, clinics, physician practices, hospitals, and medical equipment and suppliers.

Regarding these bankruptcies Clare Moylan stated: “Bankruptcy is an effective tool in some of these cases to be able to have that second chance at life for the businesses…”
