Melissa Bunch is a highly experienced development and operations executive with over 15 years’ expertise in supporting healthcare organizations successfully deliver strategic growth –through M&A, joint ventures, and de novo developments – as well as driving organic growth through operational efficiencies, physician recruitment and revenue cycle management. She is a strong collaborator, problem-solver, and leader.

Apart from designing growth strategies, Melissa leads execution across all stages: from the due diligence and transaction process through the subsequent integration of operations. She brings deep experience in finance and operations (including licensing, reimbursement, (contract and billing/collection) to inpatient and outpatient behavioral health facilities which provide therapies and treatment for autism spectrum disorder addiction and substance use disorder, disordered eating, mental health and psychiatric disorders. She additionally has substantial experience with physician practices, acute hospital systems and ancillary healthcare services.

Prior to joining Gibbins Advisors, Melissa spent ~7 years as Vice President of Development at BayMark Health Services (the largest provider of opioid use disorder treatment in North America) where she led efforts to expand and integrate treatment centers, adding 53 locations through acquisitions and establishing 20 new facilities.

Apart from deep experience on the buy-side of M&A, Melissa’s experience includes sell-side advisory and operational consulting services to behavioral health clients, focusing on optimizing practices for successful exits.
