He is one of the country’s most experienced middle-market healthcare bankruptcy and restructuring professionals. Ronald is known for his ability to manage complex problems with creative solutions and brings a disciplined focus on achieving results that matter, in even the most challenging circumstances.

As an effective leader, Ronald is adept at collaborating with diverse stakeholders—including boards, management teams, creditors, regulators, and communities—to achieve balanced and sustainable outcomes. He frequently serves in fiduciary roles such as Chief Restructuring Officer, Receiver, Liquidating Trustee, and Corporate Monitor, bringing independence, accountability, and sound judgment to highly sensitive situations.

Ronald has deep expertise across the healthcare, higher education, and not-for-profit sectors. He has advised hospitals, physician groups, skilled nursing operators, and educational institutions through some of their most critical moments, bringing clear direction and effective execution. Prior to co-founding Gibbins Advisors, Ronald was a Managing Director at each of Healthcare Management Partners and Alvarez & Marsal where he worked a combined 18 years, following a successful career in portfolio management and credit policy at Mizuho Financial Group.
